March 21,2008 Star Party Report - 1st Member's Only Star Party of the Season

Well, hats off to Eddie Crawford for both hosting tonight's star party AND managing to clear the clouds out by 9:30.and it only got better from there. There must have been 20+ scopes out tonight, and although I left at about midnight, there were still 6 or 7 people set up and viewing. It was a great evening. I believe there were 3 new members out tonight too.

Thanks Ed it was nice to get a club Star Party in without all those clouds we seemed to encounter last year.That was the big monkey we just had to get behind us.We even managed this with people buying new scopes (couldn't resist a jab) and the views thru that 9.25 were great.Saw new faces as well as familiar ones and believe as the weather improves so will the turn outs.We finally closed the gate at 2am and hope next week we have more good weather.
