For those of you who might be wondering, the skies did not turn out to be as fabulously clear as expected. They were near perfect for the first hour, then about half the sky was clouded for the next hour, and the final hour before moonrise was totally cloudy. Naturally, once the moon started to rise and we were all packed up, it cleared back out again.

Even with the clouds, it was still enjoyable. There were 7 of us there altogether, we got some great views in, I believe some great images acquired as well, and there was no wind and we had mild temps. Compared to observing in breezy mid 40's temps, this was like a day on the beach.

We'll try again I'm sure, so stay posted.
