10/4 Star Party Report

Well, we had an excellent turnout last night. I counted 14 different telescopes, and with all the visitors we must have had 30 or more people. The night started out beautifully. Many members of the public enjoyed good views of Jupiter and the Moon. Thanks to Joel Goodman we saw a great ISS pass.

Unfortunately, just before Ganymede disappeared into Jupiter's shadow at 8:35, the clouds rolled in from the south and covered it up. By 9:30 we were completely clouded out and the party was over. Let's hope for better weather next week for Moonstruck.

Clear skies,
David
