Just returned from the AR star party and sure enough, some pretty thick cloud cover made
its way through. One the plus side, the sky never actually closed all the way up, and the
viewing didn't get completely ruined.

We had a big crowd on hand, and although trying to view around the clouds was frustrating
at times, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves nonetheless.

The Celestial Searchers Star-B-Q was a great treat too.

Celestial Searchers and Friends - What a fun evening Saturday!!

Thank you to the Searchers and especially Charis Smith and her family for my gift - my own
personal dog named "Pluto" wearing a planet t-shirt (with no Pluto on it). The minor planet
formerly know as Pluto the planet will always hold a special place in my heart as will your
thoughtful gift.

It was fun to see some new Searchers faces. Hope to see all of you at our first meeting of the
school year on Monday, September 24th. More details to follow as the school year gets started.

In the coming weeks, don't forget the Perseids meteors we talked about last night.
